Hungry Hippo

Andy wanted to challenge himself with this Hippo drawing. Skin tones on animals with no fur can be really challenging to mimic with markers. This drawing went through so many ugly stages, but when it all came together it was something he was really proud of. The mix of different colors to give the illusion of depth was what really stood out when completing this image.
